Accelerometer, Signal
The value indicates the accelerometer signal, i.e. the longitudinal incline of the car. The signal from the accelerometer, which is integrated in the Body Sensor Cluster Stability Sensor (BSC), transmits information to the Brake Control Module (BCM) about the longitudinal acceleration of the car. A positive value indicates acceleration, i.e. the front of the car is raised. A negative value indicates deceleration, i.e. the front of the car is lowered.
Measurement range: -20 - +20 m/s2
HINT: The value can be affected by changing the longitudinal incline of the car, for example by raising or lower the front or rear end of the car.
S60 (11-), V60 and XC60 2013- are not equipped with Body Sensor Cluster Stability Sensor (BSC) but instead have an inertial measurement unit (IMU) installed on the circuit board on the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS).
