Pump Motor Speed, Actual Value
Measurement range 0-5400 RPM.
Shows the pump motor's current speed, the speed is measured by speed sensors integrated in the pump motor with the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM). When the vehicle turns or is at speed, the speed must correspond with the parameter "Pump motor Speed Set-point value". A difference of approximately 30 RPM between Actual and Set-point value is normal. In extreme cold, much greater differences between the Actual and Set-point value can occur.
When the vehicle is stationary, the combustion engine idling and no steering wheel movement is performed, the Actual and Set-point value can differ by more than 30 RPM, this depends on vehicle configuration, such as start/stop, this is normal. When the combustion engine is off the Actual value is 0 RPM and Set point value between 2300 - 2500 RPM
