The system for the rear backrest angle consists of three parts:

The rear seat functions module (RSX) is mounted in the backrest console near the fans below the refrigerator behind the second row of seats. The massage unit is located in the backrest on the seat. The massage pump is also located in the backrest on the seat. The air cushion unit is attached with air hoses to the massage unit in the seat. The air pump is connected to the massage unit, both with air hoses and wires. The electric motor for the backrest angle is positioned on the outside of the seat.

The Rear seat functions module (RSX) is 30 powered and communicates with the climate control module (CCM) via the LIN-bus. The control module activates the massage unit and powers the electric motor for the rear backrest angle and forwards the LIN communication between the rear seat functions control panel and the climate control module (CCM).

The massage function can be set to three different levels.

The rear seat functions module (RSX) is not diagnosable by the Climate control module (CCM).
