Yaw Angle Signal

The value indicates the yaw angle speed, i.e. the speed at which the car turns on flat ground. The signal from the yaw rate sensor, which is integrated in the Body Sensor Cluster Stability Sensor (BSC), transmits information to the Brake Control Module (BCM) about the rate of yaw (steering direction) of the car in °/s. A positive value indicates steering to the left. A negative value indicates steering to the right.

Measurement range: -80- +80 °/s

HINT: The value can be influenced by moving the rear or front section rapidly sideways.

NOTE:

S60 (11-), V60 and XC60 2013- are not equipped with Body Sensor Cluster Stability Sensor (BSC) but instead have an inertial measurement unit (IMU) installed on the circuit board on the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS).
