Diagnostic Information

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) has a built-in diagnostic system, which continuously monitors itself and the input and output signals.

The gear position sensor does not have a built-in diagnostic system. The TCM monitors the sensor, sets DTCs and stores readable parameters for the sensor.
