Idle/Throttle Speed Control Unit: Description and Operation

This sensor is used to maintain engine idle RPM at a pre-set value programmed in the ECU. To accomplish this, actual idle speed is compared to the pre-set value. When idle speed exceeds these parameters, the ISC motor mounted on the intake manifold functions as a throttle bypass and adjusts intake air quantity.
