Data Link Connector Diagnostic System Check

  1. Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Attempt to communicate with vehicle. If scan tool communicates, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate, go to DATA LINK CONNECTOR SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Check DTCs. If any communication DTCs are present, go to appropriate DTC diagnosis and repair procedure (communication DTCs will begin with "U"). See SBM DTC DEFINITIONS  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no communication DTCs are present, go to DATA LINK CONNECTOR SYSTEM CHECK  .
