Primary Fuel Pump Module: Installation

If installing a new fuel pump, install fuel level sending unit onto new fuel pump. Insert new primary fuel pump module with level sender and new fuel pump-to-tank seal. Ensure orientation tabs are aligned. Using Fuel Tank Lock Ring Remover/Installer (SA9156E), install fuel pump lock ring. See Fig 2 . Connect fuel lines to fuel tank. Ensure new fuel line quick-connect retainers are used on fuel lines. Connect wiring harness to primary fuel pump module. Install fuel tank. See FUEL TANK .
