Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 GMC Safari and 2001 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove radio. Remove heater control panel from instrument panel and move aside to access BCM. See Fig 1 . Remove BCM from retainer. Disconnect BCM connectors as specified. To install, reverse removal procedure, reconnecting connectors as specified. To program BCM see PROGRAMMING  .
