Wipers Operate In HI Speed Only

  1. Remove wiper HI/LO relay from power distribution center and replace with known-good relay. See Figure. Turn ignition on and operate wipers in low, intermittent and high speeds. If wipers continue to operate in high speed only, go to next step. If wipers operate properly at all speeds, replace wiper HI/LO relay.
  2. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) 14-pin connector C1. Using DVOM, measure resistance between BCM connector C1 terminals No. 8 (Violet/Pink wire) and No. 12 (Black/Light Green wire). See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If resistance is greater than 100 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, repair short to ground in Violet/Pink wire between BCM and power distribution center.
  3. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
