Windshield Wiper Test 2B - Wipers Not Working At All

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 2A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Stop wiper motor actuation. Ensure ignition is on. Turn wiper switch to LO position. Using scan tool, read intermittent wiper voltage. If scan tool does not display INTRMT WIPE: 2.5V, go to next step. If scan tool displays INTRMT WIPE: 2.5V, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 7 (Dark Green/Yellow wire) on connector "A". If voltage is 10 volts or less, replace BCM. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect multifunction switch 12-pin connector. See Figure in CHIME TEST 4B. Ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage at terminal No. 7 (Dark Blue wire) on multifunction switch connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, replace multifunction switch. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition off. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 6 (Dark Green/Yellow wire) on multifunction switch connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Dark Green/Yellow wire for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition on. Connect jumper wire between terminals No. 6 and 7 on multifunction switch connector. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 7 (Dark Green/Yellow wire) on BCM connector "A". If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Dark Green/Yellow wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace multifunction switch.
