Windshield Wiper Test 2C - Wipers Not Working At All

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 2A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Remove front wiper ON relay from Power Distribution Center (PDC). Ensure connector is clean and not damaged. See Figure in EXTERIOR LIGHT TEST 2A. Remove HI/LO wiper relay and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal "D" on front wiper ON relay socket. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PDC.
  2. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal "B" on front wiper ON relay socket. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PDC.
  3. Disconnect wiper module connector. See Fig 1 . Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal "E" on wiper HI/LO relay socket. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Brown/White wire between terminal No. 1 on wiper module connector and terminal "E" on wiper HI/LO relay. Replace wiper fuse No. 19 (30-amp).
  4. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance at terminal "D" on wiper HI/LO relay. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Red/Yellow wire between terminal "C" on wiper HI/LO relay socket and terminal No. 5 on wiper module connector. Replace wiper fuse No. 19 (30-amp). If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace wiper motor and wiper fuse No. 19 (30-amp).
