Windshield Wiper Test 9C - Rear Wiper Not Operating

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 9A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Ensure rear wiper switch and ignition switch are in ON position.
  2. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 38 (Yellow/White wire) on connector "A". If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace BCM. If voltage is 4 volts or less, go to next step.
  3. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 38 (Yellow/White wire) on connector "A". Disconnect Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module 21-pin Blue connector (integral with instrument panel unit). Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/White wire) on HVAC connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Yellow/White wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace HVAC module.
