If PCM is replaced and is not programmed, DTC will be stored in Air Bag Control Module (ACM) and Controller Anti-lock Brake (CAB) module. If DTCs are set in ACM and CAB, enter correct VIN and odometer in PCM. Erase codes in ACM and CAB modules. In addition, if vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS), secret key data must be updated to enable vehicle to start.

Place SKIM in secured access mode using secret key PIN code for vehicle. Select UPDATE SECRET KEY DATA. Data will transfer from SKIM to PCM.
  4. If Central Timer Module (CTM) was replaced, turn ignition switch to ON position for 15 seconds to learn VIN. If vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS), use scan tool to enable VTSS. Program customer preference options as necessary. Ensure all doors, hood, liftgate are closed. Open driver's door and remove keys from ignition switch with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transponder. Lock all door with RKE transponder. Close driver's door. If VTSS indicator lamp flashes, VTSS is operational. If VTSS light does not flash, diagnose fault. See IDENTIFYING VTSS PROBLEMS  .
  5. Ensure all accessories are turned off. Ensure vehicle battery is fully charged. Turn ignition switch to OFF position, wait 5 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Read and record DTCs from ALL modules. Erase all DTCs using scan tool. Turn ignition switch to OFF position, and wait 5 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
