Ignition Coil: Notes

The electronic ignition system uses 2 epoxy filled coil packs mounted on a bracket at rear of engine. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . The coil pack on left side contains 3 separate coils and fires cylinders 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7. The coil pack on right side contains 2 individual coils and fires cylinders 5, 8, 9 and 10. When one of coils discharges, it fires 2 cylinders at same time (one cylinder on its compression stroke, other on its exhaust stroke.)
