Removal & Installation: Generator

Remove head light, front bumper cover and radiator.
Disconnect battery negative terminal, then positive battery terminal.
Remove right front inner wheel housing side cover. See Fig 1 .
Loosen generator drive belt tension adjusting bolt and remove generator drive belt. See Fig 2 .
Disconnect generator electrical connector and "B" terminal cable. See Fig 3 .
Remove the mounting bolt and nuts and remove generator from vehicle. See Fig 4 .

NOTE: Spacer thickness is .008" (.198 mm).

To install, reverse removal procedure. Insert but do not tighten support bolts. Push generator forward and measure gap "A". See Fig 5 . Insert appropriate number of spacers and mounting bolt nuts. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
