Generators & Regulators: Overhaul

When assembling front and rear sections, insert a stiff wire into hole in rear cover to hold brushes in raised position. Use exploded view for overhaul reference. See Fig 1 -Fig 3 . Ensure brushes are not worn beyond limit line, or measure brush length. See STANDARD & MINIMUM BRUSH LENGTH table. If brush length is less than specified, replace brush and brush holder.
