Front Camber Adjustments
NOTE:
Vehicle must be checked to establish that it conforms to the Jaguar original specification, such as wheels, tires, tire pressures, etc.
NOTE:
This procedure must be carried out using a 4-post ramp. Adjustments to the camber will affect the toe settings. Camber and toe may need to be adjusted at the same time to achieve the correct wheel alignment settings.
- Loosen the tie rod end lock nut. See Fig 1 . Clean and lubricate the lock nut and tie rod threads.
- Loosen the rear lower control arm lock nut. See Fig 2 . Rotate the camber adjustment cam bolt to adjust camber.
- Following the alignment equipment manufacturers instructions, check the camber and toe settings. Adjust as necessary. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
- Ensuring the camber adjustment cam bolt does not turn, tighten lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Ensuring the tie rod end lock nut does not turn, tighten lock nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
Do not allow the steering gear boot to twist when adjusting the tie rods. Allowing steering gear boot to twist may result in damage to the vehicle.
