Front Camber Adjustments

NOTE: Vehicle must be checked to establish that it conforms to the Jaguar original specification, such as wheels, tires, tire pressures, etc.
NOTE: This procedure must be carried out using a 4-post ramp. Adjustments to the camber will affect the toe settings. Camber and toe may need to be adjusted at the same time to achieve the correct wheel alignment settings.
  1. Loosen the tie rod end lock nut. See Fig 1 . Clean and lubricate the lock nut and tie rod threads.
  2. Loosen the rear lower control arm lock nut. See Fig 2 . Rotate the camber adjustment cam bolt to adjust camber.
  3. CAUTION: Do not allow the steering gear boot to twist when adjusting the tie rods. Allowing steering gear boot to twist may result in damage to the vehicle.
  4. Following the alignment equipment manufacturers instructions, check the camber and toe settings. Adjust as necessary. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Ensuring the camber adjustment cam bolt does not turn, tighten lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Ensuring the tie rod end lock nut does not turn, tighten lock nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
