Flash To Pass Inoperative

NOTE: Ensure high beam headlights are operating properly before performing test procedure.
  1. Disconnect left multifunction switch connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between left multifunction switch connector terminal No. 5 (Pink/Light Green wire) and ground. See Figure. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, replace left multifunction switch. See appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect junction block connector C3. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Pink/Light Green wire between junction block connector C3 terminal No. 10 and left multifunction switch connector terminal No. 5. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace junction block. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Light Green wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
