All Courtesy Lights Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove and inspect fuse No. 8 (15-amp) located in junction block. See Figure. If fuse is blown, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step  3.
  2. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and fused B+ terminal (upper terminal) on fuse No. 8 socket. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in fused B+ circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram in POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Replace fuse No. 8. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace fuse No. 8. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Remove driver's side rear seat overhead reading light lens cover. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Pink wire between fuse No. 8 fused B+ terminal socket (upper terminal) and reading light fused B+ terminal. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in fused B+ circuit (Pink wire). Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  4. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
