Courtesy Lights Inoperative (Except Front Doors)
- Remove and inspect inoperative bulbs. Replace defective bulbs. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If all bulbs are okay, go to next step.
- With bulbs removed, using DVOM, measure voltage between B+ circuit of courtesy lights socket and ground. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in B+ circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If all bulbs are okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C1. See Figure. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Yellow wire between BCM connector C1 terminal No. 24 and courtesy light connector. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Yellow wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Open front doors. Remove fuse No. 8 from junction block. Reconnect BCM connector C1. Using DVOM, backprobe and measure resistance between BCM connector C1 terminal No. 24 (Yellow wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, test is complete. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
