Wiper Not Working In Low Speed
- Remove wiper high/low relay from Power Distribution Center (PDC). See Figure. Install a known-good relay. Operate wipers. If wipers do not operate correctly, go to next step. If wipers operate correctly, replace wiper high/low relay. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Wiper motor connector is located under left side of cowl cover. Turn wiper switch to LOW. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and wiper motor connector terminal No. 5 (Brown/White wire). See Figure. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, replace wiper motor. See appropriate WIPER/WASHER SYSTEMS article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Remove wiper high/low relay from PDC. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Brown/White wire between wiper high/low relay socket terminal No. 87A and wiper motor connector terminal No. 5. See Figure. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, test is complete. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair open in Brown/White wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
