Powertrain Control Module (Pcm)

REMOVAL

1 - PCM Mounting Bolt

2 - Wire Harness Connectors

3 - Locking Cam

Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Remove the PCM retaining fastener.
Remove the PCM from the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION

Position the PCM into the mounting bracket.
Check the pin connectors in the PCM. Also check the wire harness connectors for corrosion or damage. Repair as necessary.
Install the PCM bolts and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Carefully install the wire harness connectors into the PCM.
NOTE:
If the original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and original vehicle mileage is not programed into the PCM, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set.
If installing a new PCM, use a diagnostic scan tool to program the new PCM. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
