DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS

DTC Description Remedy
2-6 Indicates A Stop Lamp Switch (X168) Failure Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 23A
2-7 Set When A Continuous Battery Supply To The ECU Is Detected To A Shorted Load Relay Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 1A.
2-8 Set When No Voltage Is Applied, From The Load Relay To The ECU Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 1A
2-12 Indicates That A Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor (X158) Air Gap Is Too Large (1)
2-13 Indicates That A Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor (X140) Air Gap Is Too Large (1)
2-14 Indicates That A Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor (X137) Air Gap Is Too Large (1)

5-9 Indicate A Short To Battery Voltage In Isolation Outlet Solenoid Valve Circuit Between ABS Booster Unit (Z103) & Anti-Lock Brake System ECU (Z108). Fault Could Be Intermittent (2)
5-12 Indicates An Intermittent Open Circuit In The Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor (X158) (3) Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 7A.
5-13 Indicates An Intermittent Open Circuit In The Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor (X140) (3) Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 9A.
5-14 Indicates An Intermittent Open Circuit In The Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor (X137) (3) Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 5A.
5-15 Indicates An Intermittent Open Circuit In The Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor (X161) (3) Start Diagnosis At Test A  , Step 5A.
6-0 Through 6-9 Indicates A Short Circuit Between 2 Solenoid Valves. Failure Codes For Both Affected Valves Will Be Stored (4) Specific Solenoid Valve Circuit Affected Is As Listed: 6-0; Right Front Inlet, 6-1; Right Front Outlet, 6-2; Left Front inlet , 6-3; Left Front Outlet, 6-4; Right Rear Inlet, 6-5; Right Rear Outlet, 6-6 Left Rear Inlet, 6-7; Left Rear Outlet, 6-8; Isolation Inlet & 6-9; Isolation Outlet
6-12 Indicates Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Has No Output Signal. Code Sets Due To A Extremely Large Air Gap (5)
6-13 Indicates Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Has No Output Signal. Code Sets Due To A Extremely Large Air Gap (5)
6-14 Indicates Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Has No Output Signal. Code Sets Due To A Extremely Large Air Gap (5)
6-15 Indicates Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Has No Output Signal. Code Sets Due To A Extremely Large Air Gap (5)
(1) Check sensor ring runout and bearing freeplay. Fit a new sensor bushing and refit sensor.
(2) Check booster unit's ground strap, wiring harness and connectors at booster unit and ECU. If all components check okay, replace ECU.
(3) Perform test while wiggling harness to induce fault.
(4) Check to see if short is located in wiring harness by measuring for continuity between circuits with ABS booster unit (Z103) and anti-lock brake system ECU (Z108) disconnected. If okay, Check booster unit and ECU.
(5) Check affected sensor's mounting and bushing. Replace sensor if mounting and installation are okay.
