VVT Sensor: Replacement

REPLACE VVT SENSOR (BANK 1)
1. Remove the 2 cap nuts, 2 bolts and V-bank cover.
2. Disconnect the engine wire protector from upper intake manifold and bearing cap. (See INSPECTION )
3. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.
4. Disconnect the No. 5 ignition coil connector.

5. Disconnect the No. 5 injector connector.
6. Remove the bolt, and pry out the VVT sensor.
7. Attach a new VVT sensor to the cylinder head.
8. Reinstall the VVT sensor with the bolt.
  Torque: 6.5 N.m (65 kgf.cm, 58 in.lbf)
9. Reconnect the No. 5 injector connector.
10. Reconnect the No. 5 ignition coil connector.
11. Reconnect the VVT sensor connector.
12. Reinstall the engine wire protector.
13. Reinstall the V-bank cover with the 2 cap nuts and 2 bolts.
REPLACE VVT SENSOR (BANK 2)
1. Remove the 2 cap nuts, 2 bolts and V-bank cover.
2. Remove the intake air connector pipe.
3. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.
4. Disconnect the No. 4 ignition coil connector.

5. Disconnect the No. 4 injector connector.
6. Remove the bolt, and pry out the VVT sensor.
7. Attach a new VVT sensor to the cylinder head.
8. Reinstall the VVT sensor with the bolt.
  Torque: 6.5 N.m (65 kgf.cm, 58 in.lbf)
9. Reconnect the No. 4 ignition coil connector.
10. Reconnect the No. 4 injector connector.
11. Reconnect the VVT sensor connector.
12. Reinstall the intake air connector pipe.
13. Reinstall the V-bank cover with the 2 cap nuts and 2 bolts.
