Passive Anti-Theft System (Pats) Transceiver Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the steering column opening cover. See INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  2. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
  3. Remove the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    NOTE:
    • Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the instrument cluster (IC) again.
