CAUTION:

Performing the following procedures could cause an open circuit in the front ABS wheel speed-sensor wiring harness if it is pulled by mistake. Before servicing, disconnect the front ABS wheel-speed sensor and set it aside so that the wiring harness will not be pulled by mistake.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more.
Remove the front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the propeller shaft.
Disconnect the ground plate.
Remove the front crossmember component.
Remove the front drive shaft (RH).
Remove the bracket (See BRACKET INSTALLATION NOTE .)

Remove the heat shield.

Remove the transfer bracket. (See TRANSFER BRACKET INSTALLATION NOTE .)

Drain the transfer oil. (See TRANSFER OIL REPLACEMENT [C66MX-R] .)
Remove in the order shown in the figure below.
Install in the reverse order of removal.

After the engine and transaxle warms up, inspect for oil leakage and transfer operation.
