41 33... Front panel installation procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

To avoid unnecessary adjustment work, apply the following procedure.

Observe FRAME REFERENCE DIMENSIONS .

STEP 1: SETTING OF DEFORMATION ELEMENT

Set the deformation element (1) so that the areas (3) are parallel.

NOTE: The deformation element cannot be height-adjusted because of the stop (2).

STEP 2: SETTING OF "CROSS CONNECTION SUPPORT "

Set the cross connection support (1) according to the specified dimensions.

Dimension "a" = approx. 3 mm.

NOTE: If the cross connection support is removed on only one side of the vehicle, measure Dimension "a" on the side where it has not been removed and apply it as the setting dimension.

Tighten all screw connections with specified TIGHTENING TORQUE .
