DTC B2805: RFA Programming/Diagnostic Mode Message Not Received: Testing
- Perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Attempt to program transmitters. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING under PROGRAMMING. If transmitter programming can be entered, go to next step. If transmitter programming can not be entered, go to step 4 .
- Exit transmitter programming mode by turning ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Attempt to program transmitters. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING under PROGRAMMING. Recheck for BCM DTCs. If DTC B2805 resets as current, go to step 6 . If DTC B2805 does not reset, go to step 8 .
- Remove ignition key from ignition switch. Observe door lock while pressing LOCK and UNLOCK on keyless entry transmitter. If doors lock and unlock using keyless entry transmitter, go to step 9 . If doors do not lock and unlock using keyless entry transmitter, go to next step.
- Select DEVICE CONTROL function on scan tool. Activate RFA link output. Using DVOM connected to ground, backprobe and measure voltage at BCM connector C1 terminal C15 (Black wire). If reading is less than 2 volts with RFA link ACTIVE, go to step 7 . If reading is greater than 2 volts with RFA link ACTIVE, go to next step.
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform new BCM setup. See NEW BCM SETUP under PROGRAMMING. After replacing BCM, go to step 9 .
- Check for poor connections at Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). See Figure . Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, replace RCDLR. After repairs, go to step 9 .
- Symptom is not present at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS for additional diagnostic information. After repairs, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect all disconnected components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Recheck for BCM DTCs. If any DTCs reset as current, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. If DTCs do not reset as current, system is okay at this time.
