AUTO Mode

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3 and 2000 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When AUTO mode button is pressed, cabin temperature is automatically maintained by controlling fan blower motor speed, recirculated air, and air distribution. ACC display panel can be toggled between basic and full display by pressing AUTO button. Basic display shows current settings for AUTO, temperature, heated rear window and mirrors, ECON, and air recirculation. Full display shows all settings including AUTO, temperature, fan blower motor speed, air distribution, heated rear window and mirrors, OFF, ECON, and air recirculation. See Figure . In AUTO mode, when outside ambient air temperature is more than 32°F (0°C), A/C compressor is activated automatically. ECON, heated rear window and mirrors, recirculation and temperature increase or decrease can be selected without leaving AUTO mode.
