Transmission Control Cable: Installation

INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

2. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the control cable bracket with 2 new clips.
3. Install the transmission control cable assembly to the transaxle with the 2 clips.

4. Connect the control cable to the shift lever retainer.
  CAUTION:
  - The projecting part of the cable outer should face outside when the shift cable is connected.
  - After installation, make sure that the cable outer lock is projecting from A as shown in the illustration.

5. Install the control select cable to the shift lever assembly.
6. Install the control shift cable to the shift lever assembly.

ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE (See ADJUSTMENT )
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER LOWER PANEL (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
1. Install the No. 1 front floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)

INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
