Check Transmitter Battery And Function

TRANSMITTER BATTERY FUNCTION CHART

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK TRANSMITTER BATTERY. 
  1. Remove the battery from the transmitter. < Ref. to REMOVAL , KEYLESS TRANSMITTER. >
  2. Check the battery voltage. < Ref. to INSPECTION , KEYLESS TRANSMITTER. >
Is the measured value more than 2.5 V? Go to step 2.  Replace the transmitter battery.
2 CHECK TRANSMITTER. 
Register a transmitter that can be normally operated in another vehicle with the vehicle that will be checked. < Ref. to TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION USING SUBARU SELECT MONITOR , REPLACEMENT, KEYLESS TRANSMITTER. >
  1. Close all the doors of the vehicle that will be checked.
  2. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  3. Lock/unlock the doors by operating the transmitter.
Can normally lock/unlock the vehicle that will be checked? Go to step 3.  It is a vehicle malfunction. Continue the keyless entry system diagnosis.
3 CHECK TRANSMITTER. 
Register a transmitter of the vehicle that will be checked with another vehicle that can normally operate the transmitter.< Ref. to TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION USING SUBARU SELECT MONITOR , REPLACEMENT, KEYLESS TRANSMITTER. >
Can the transmitter be registered normally? Go to step 4.  Replace the transmitter. < Ref. to TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION USING SUBARU SELECT MONITOR , REPLACEMENT, KEYLESS TRANSMITTER. >
4 CHECK TRANSMITTER. 
Check the registered transmitter.
  1. Close all the doors of the vehicle for which the keyless system is operated normally.
  2. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  3. Lock/unlock the doors by operating the transmitter.
Can normally lock/unlock the vehicle? Transmission is OK. Replace the transmitter. < Ref. to TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION USING SUBARU SELECT MONITOR  . >
CAUTION: The transmitter registered from the other vehicle to vehicle that will be checked and the vehicle that the transmitter is registered with for the check should be returned to the original condition before performing the check (should be re-registered).
