When Using Piano Wire

CAUTION:

Do not tightly pull the piano wire against the glass windshield edge .
Apply protective tape, etc, and be careful that the inner and outer components of the vehicle are not damaged .
Do not cross piano wires. Otherwise they may be cut .

Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Remove the trim panel assembly A pillar. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Upper Inner Trim>REMOVAL .
Remove the cowl panel assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Cowl Panel>REMOVAL .
Disconnect the wiper deicer connector. (Models with wiper deicer) Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>Rain Sensor>REMOVAL .
Remove the stereo camera cover assembly and stereo camera assembly. Ref. to EyeSight>Stereo Camera>REMOVAL .
Remove the sensor assembly rain. (Model with auto wiper) Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>Rain Sensor>REMOVAL .
Remove the molding windshield from the glass windshield, and attach protective tape on the body side of the circumference of the glass windshield.

Remove the glass windshield.
1. Pass a piano wire through the adhesive part.
2. Pull the piano wire ends alternately to cut off the adhesive part and locating pin.
CAUTION: Attach a piece of wood to both piano wire ends .

Remove the locating pin. (When reusing the glass)

Attach tape to the locating pin outer surface to identify the installation position.

CAUTION:

Do not remove the tape because it is used to refer to the installation position .
Be careful not to damage the glass windshield during operation .
