Circuit Testing: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Suzuki Sidekick. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis and testing procedures, ensure battery is fully charged, as a low battery may result in incorrect diagnosis.
CAUTION: When performing the following diagnosis and testing procedures, it may be necessary to disconnect electrical connector from Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) if instructed. Ensure ignition is off before disconnecting electrical connector at CC ECU. The CC ECU is located behind the instrument panel. SeeFigure . The CC ECU contains a 13-pin electrical connector on M/T and 3-speed A/T models, or a 18-pin electrical connector on 4-speed A/T models. DO NOT  apply test equipment directly to CC ECU terminals or CC ECU may be damaged. Connect voltmeter or ohmmeter probes from wiring harness side of connector only.
