Section 374 (Air Conditioning System): Condenser: Installation

  1. INSTALL CONDENSER 
    1. Push the radiator toward engine.
    2. Install the condenser with 2 nuts.

      HINT:

      If condenser is replaced add compressor oil to the condenser.

      Add 40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.) 

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL8 or equivalent 

    3. Install the 2 upper radiator supports with the 2 bolts.

    4. Install the relay block No. 3 with the 2 bolts.

  2. INSTALL ELECTRIC COOLING FANS 

  3. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE 
    1. Lubricate a new O-ring with compressor oil and install them to the hose.

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 

    2. Connect the discharge hose to the condenser with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.Cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Connect the hose clamp with the nut.

  4. INSTALL LIQUID TUBE 
    1. Lubricate a new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 

    2. Install the liquid tube and tighten the nut.

      Torque: 14 N.m (140 kgf.Cm, 10 ft.lbf)

  5. INSTALL RECEIVER. SEE  INSTALLATION  . 
  6. CHARGE SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 
    1. Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
    2. Charge system with refrigerant.

    Specified amount: 800 +/- 50 g (28.22 +/- 1.76 oz.) 

  7. INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT 

    Using a gas leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.

    If there is leakage, check the tightening torque at the joints.
