Door Locks Isolation Test
- Check if power door locks lock from door lock switches. If doors lock from one switch only, or if doors do not lock from either switch, see appropriate DOOR LOCKS - POWER article.
- If at least one door locks from both door lock switches, connect Tech 1 scan tester to Data Link Connector (DIC) located under left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set Tech 1 to read door lock switch requests. Push both door lock switches to unlock position.
- If Tech 1 does not recognize any unlock requests, go to REMOTE DOOR LOCKING TEST . If Tech 1 recognizes unlock request from only one switch, see appropriate DOOR LOCKS - POWER article.
- If Tech 1 recognizes all unlock requests, lock all doors. Attempt to unlock all doors using Tech 1. If no doors unlock, see appropriate DOOR LOCKS - POWER article. If only left front door unlocks, go to LEFT FRONT DOOR ISOLATION RELAY TEST . If one door does not unlock, check suspect door lock motor circuit and connector for an open circuit or poor terminal contact. If circuit is okay, replace door lock motor.
- If all doors unlock, lock all doors again. Using Tech 1, attempt driver's door only unlock request. If only left front door unlocks, or all doors unlock, refer to REMOTE DOOR LOCKING TEST and LEFT FRONT DOOR ISOLATION RELAY TEST .
