No Termination
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector or battery.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Black connector C3 (Gray connector C3 on Durango). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect a fused jumper wire between ground and PCM connector C3 terminal No. 30 (Violet/Brown wire). Using scan tool, select SYSTEM MONITORS. Perform CCD bus test. If scan tool displays SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step. If scan tool does not display short to ground, repair open in Violet/Brown wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove jumper wire. Connect a fused jumper wire between ground and PCM connector C3 terminal No. 28 (White/Black wire). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, select SYSTEM MONITORS. Perform CCD bus test. If scan tool displays SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step. If scan tool does not display short to ground, repair open in White/Black wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Check all connectors for good terminal contact. Repair connectors as necessary. If connectors are okay, replace PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) VERIFICATION TEST .
