NOTE:
Perform POWER WINDOW TEST 1A
before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAM. See POWER WINDOWS
article. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
- Turn ignition on. If driver's door module switch does not light, replace driver's door module. If driver's door module switch lights, ensure window lockout switch is in the OPEN position. If passenger's door module switch does not light, replace passenger's door module. If passenger's door module switch lights, go to next step.
- Disconnect appropriate rear door window switch. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, probe rear door window switch connector terminal No. 3 (Orange/Red wire or Orange/Dark Green wire on right rear door window switch). If voltage is more than 2 volts, replace door window switch. If voltage is 2 volts or less, go to next step.
- Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, backprobe door module 12-pin connector terminal No. 10 (Orange wire or Orange/Dark Blue wire on passenger's side). If voltage is less than 2 volts, replace door module. If voltage is 2 volts or more, repair open in Orange wire or Orange/Dark Blue wire.
