Inspection steps
- Check of transmission control switch unit
- Disconnect the connector D28 of the transmission control switch.
- Check the transmission control switch unit. (Refer to
UNIT INSPECTION
)
NG: Replacement of transmission control switch (refer to REMOVAL )
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check wiring harness and connector (transmission control switch - transmission control computer)
- Disconnect the connector A19 of the transmission control computer ASSY.
- Measure the resistance of the vehicle side connector. (Refer to ECM TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT
for terminal arrangement)RESISTANCE
Inspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value A19-1 (SFTU) - chassis ground When select lever is in M position and shifted to "+" Less than 1 Ω A19-2 (SFTD) - chassis ground When select lever is in M position and shifted to "-" Less than 1 Ω A19-1 (SFTU) - chassis ground Neutral position (M position) 10 k Ωor more A19-2 (SFTD) - chassis ground Neutral position (M position) 10 k Ωor more - Connect the connector A19 of the transmission control computer ASSY.
NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector
OK: Go to Next Step

- Replace the transmission control computer ASSY. (Refer to

)
