Pinpoint Test A - Door Lock System Does Not Function Properly
- Lock and unlock each door several times from each individual switch. If doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step. If doors do not lock and unlock properly, go to PINPOINT TEST F .
- Depress any button on keypad. Ensure keypad lights up. Wait until light goes out, then press another button. Continue to check each button. If all buttons light keypad, go to next step. If no lights come on, go to PINPOINT TEST C . If some lights come on, go to PINPOINT TEST D .
- Unlock driver's door using entry code. If door unlocks, go to next step. If door does not unlock, check code and try again. If door fails to unlock, go to PINPOINT TEST D .
- Enter unlock code. Within 5 seconds, press 3/4 button on keypad. If passenger door unlocks, go to next step. If door does not unlock, go to PINPOINT TEST D .
- Enter unlock code. Within 5 seconds, press 5/6 button on keypad. If liftgate unlocks, go to next step. If liftgate does not unlock, go to PINPOINT TEST D .
- Unlock all doors using front door lock switch. Lock all doors using driver's door lock switch. Repeat procedure on opposite door. If all doors unlock and lock, go to next step. If any doors do not lock or unlock, go to PINPOINT TEST G .
- Ensure key is removed from ignition. Close all doors. Enter unlock code on keypad. Within 5 seconds, simultaneously press 7/8 and 9/0 buttons on keypad. If all doors lock, go to next step. If all doors do not unlock, go to PINPOINT TEST G .
- Ensure key is removed from ignition. Close all doors. Press any button on keypad. If all courtesy lights turn on and beeper sounds, go to next step. If lights do not come on, or beeper does not sound, go to PINPOINT TEST E .
- Enter entry code on keypad. Press in sequence, buttons 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 and 1/2. If alternate code is accepted, door lock system is okay. If code is not accepted, replace control module.
