System Tests: Notes
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected or modules are replaced, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
Always check module power and ground circuits prior to replacing any control module. See DATA LINK CONNECTORS, GROUND DISTRIBUTION and/or POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
NOTE:
Test procedures are written specifically for New Generation Star (NGS) tester. Generic scan tools may not have the capability of performing all the same functions. Refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
